Artist Statement
In life and as a filmmaker, The most interesting areas of life, are the things that go unseen and unheard.
In my previous short films and current scripts, I showcase the internal workings of characters' minds and display their psychology for the audience to see.
For the human condition to be exploited entirely, society must admit and be presented with the thoughts and feelings that go unsaid and unheard.
This does not mean omitting subtext, or the rule of "show, don't tell", but instead, giving the audience a glimpse into characters interior mechanisms. This allows for a deeper connection to the character on-screen and a greater understanding of ourselves, the audience.
People must be shown what is within the human mind, if they are to ever fully understand what happens outside of the human mind.
